Public servants to keep fit

As a solution to the growing health problems among public servants due to the lack of physical exercise, Horana  Divisional Secretary Nishanthi Jayasinghe and her staff members are to engage in physical exercises once a week after work with the objective of improving the health of public sector employees and keeping them fit.
 The programme intended to build a public service manned by healthy and enthusiastic employees in the Horana Divisional Secretary’s Division began yesterday at the Horana public grounds.
All government servants including staff officers will attend physical exercises once a week, which will be conducted under the supervision of the Health Education Section of the Horana Base Hospital. The programme was initiated by Kalutara district MP Vidura Wickremanayake.
